Industrial wastewater treatment

siClaro® Compact
Production wastewater is often characterised by high concentrations of organic constituents. Physical and chemical methods are suitable only to a limited exent to treat such wastewater on account of the low degradability and removability of the dissolved substances.

Moreover, their use entails a use of chemicals and a resulting accumulation of excess sludge from the precipitation processes. Biological methods, on the other hand, have proven to be very good for the treatment of wastewater from the industrial sectors of food, metal, paper, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, petrochemicals, motovehicles and breweries. The operation of conventional secondary settling tanks in the activated sludge process, however, generally poses problems. With the siClaro® BMA® method the aerobic biological process is combined with membrane filtration to separate the activated sludge.

siClaro® BMA® reactors are characterised by high concentrations of biomass, the avoidance of excess sludge and the complete retention of the biomass.

siClaro® Compact are ready-for-use filtration containers that are connected in parallel downstream of the aeration tanks. This means that it is very easy to retrofit existing plants. The plants are designed and dimensioned individually after trials with the customer’s wastewater. Our test facilities are available for this purpose.

Advantages:

  • low space requirements, compact design
  • outstanding quality of the effluent, in some cases can be discharged directly
  • reutilisation of the filtrate, e.g. as industrial process water
  • ruggedness of the siClaro® filter
  • reliable operation
  • suitable as pre-treatment for reverse osmosis plants.
